21st birthdays have long been known as Coming of Age, the transition from young person to adult.
Consequently this is great excuse to party.
For this purpose we have put together some tips to help in planning a 21st party.
THE VENUE
Generally this falls into 4 options.
Firstly – At Home
In short, holding it at home is a great way to build special memories.
The advantages are that you have complete control over the party.
For instance – the decorations – the use of the space – the tone of the event – the music options – also you don’t have a fixed end time, other than for the noise.

Secondly – A Pub or Club
Moreover clubs require you to use their bar as they are a licensed premises.
In the same way they often don’t allow outside food to be served.
As a result they also have strict event times, and in the same way, they may have strict rules on decorations.
Thirdly – A Council Venue or Park
Council venues or halls are subject to availability and rules governing their use.
They have strict operational times.
Coupled with rules that often don’t allow 21st parties to be held within the venue.
Furthermore they often have rules on what food can be brought into the premises.
However see your local council for requirements and cost.
Fourthly – A Function Center
A function center is usually a one stop shop, for the most part they will supply the food, the bar, the staff – In short nearly everything.
Consequently this is often the most expensive option by far and not necessarily the best option (in my opinion)
